Very crowded on a Saturday but I only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. I think our waitress was new because she took our order but NEVER brought our bread or our meals. We had to ask another waitress to do this. She was VERY PLEASANT and willing to help us.
I had the most AMAZING experience tonight! I was a little dispirited because I didn't cook for Thanksgiving this year (due to being out of town to visit my sick dad). Anyhow, I had just returned home and wanted some Thanksgiving food. I wasn't looking forward to the long drive but I wanted good holiday food and this place had it. Upon arrival, I had an opportunity to chat with MOD, Jesse. He was exceeded my expectations with his commitment to customer service. He went above and beyond making me feel like a valued customer. Thank youuu so much Jesse! You not only had a great holiday meal at a great price but you lifted my spirits. Bless your heart!!
We sat near the fireplace and enjoyed an amazing family night out.The atmosphere was so relaxed it even kept the baby calm! The biscuits were amazing (especially with butter and jelly). I had the lemon pepper rainbow trout and it was so flavorful that my mother ordered a second plate of it. We walked out of the gift shop with a Unicorn plush that held a pink fleece overthrow inside. The little one hasn't spent a night without it since. :)
I found another great waitress and her name is Katie. She's been there for 5 years and her experience with people shows. She's very FRIENDLY, KIND and she makes sure we get what we ordered. Katie also deserves a best waitress award.
I was VERY disappointed in the first waitress but gave 5 STARS because everyone at my table loved the food. The meals were more like homemade. The store has many unique items and I like the old fashioned candy. I will definitely go back to Cracker Barrel.
I would always give Cracker Barrel a five-star rating but this particular time we noticed the serving sizes were half or less than the usual! Plus the prices went up so we were confused as to why the serving sizes went down! We were just a little disappointed because their food is always really good and with generous portions. The food, although small, was exceptionally good! Otherwise, the store part would be a 5 star!
Well I've been back several more times and Maddie is my FAVORITE NEW WAITRESS !!! She has a great personality, she remembers what we like ( there's 4 of us ) and she goes out of her way to ensure everything is just perfect. Maddie deserves a best waitress award.
My family now asks for Maddie or Katie every time we go to Cracker Barrel and you should too ! ! !

We waited almost 15 minutes until we finally stopped one of the 4 wait staff that passed us (not even busy with others, just passing, cleaning a table here and there, etc..and walking past) to ask for a waiter/waitress to take our order. Food was good. Dessert was disappointing. Ice cream on warm cake is barely a quarter of a scoop so cake to ice cream ratio was terrible. So was two scoops of ice cream in bowl. Its not even quality ice cream so you'd think they would be accommodating with a full scoop to equal the price. It also took the waitress a while to come back for us to order dessert in the first place. I can understand when it's busy but it was quite empty. The woman at the register didn't even ask us how the meal was. But she did ask us if the parkway was still backed up. Not sure how we would know being as we were leaving but either way, I even heard a waiter state very loudly at 10:00, "when its 11:00, I'm out of here". I guess they don't understand the importance of service with a smile (complain in the back of you need to) that goes along with a customer based job. Its sad, really.
