I went in here with my adult daughter to hopefully get some new makeup ideas and demonstrations on me. The girl wasn't too helpful. She just basically pointed me in direction of a couple of makeups. Then went back to chatting with coworkers. Later she did bring me a premade kit of some lotions and makeup. That was fine but I had hoped for more of a makeover type demonstration.
Best customer service I've ever had. Nice girl named Jackie went out of her way to help me even though she was obviously busy. Ashley is a miracle worker she was compassionate and kind while removing lashes I had gotten from a less than par place. Ulta beauty is the only place I'm going from now on.
Incredibly helpful and well set up. The staff is courteous and friendly. I have shopped there many times with and for my wife. As a "clueless" guy, I have always been made to feel comfortable at Ulta.

I generally shop at the Ulta store in DE, but shopped at this location twice. The first time was about a year ago and then again this past weekend. On my first visit the young girl who helped me wasn't real sure what product I needed and I basically ended up finding it myself because there was no one else to help her. I chalked it up to the store being fairly new and that the girl maybe was just learning the products, so I figured I would try it again. When I went in I knew one of the products I wanted, so that wasn't an issue. However, I wanted to try some new foundation. There was no one around to help, even after looking through multiple isles in a couple sections of the store. This has "never" happened at the DE location I usually go to. I finally saw an employee and she didn't ask me if I needed help I had to ask her, again very surprised. I told her what type of foundation I was looking for and she selected two. We tried the first one with no luck, meanwhile she was assisting other employees on the wired speaker she was wearing, so we went to try the other foundation. Again, she continued to assist other employees via her wired speaker and not really listening to what my needs where for the foundation. Half way through applying the second foundation she asked another employee to come finish applying the foundation because she had to go up front to help another employee. The second girl was very short with me and I felt very rushed. With all this said the side notes are both of the employees maybe want to think about how they represent Ulta as both of them were not wearing their make-up to suit them. The first employee had her foundation on so heavy and it looked chalky and meanwhile the second girl's massacre was running under her eyes, wow. So I finally went to check out, I didn't have to wait long. The employee that checked me out was not pleasant, didn't ask me if I wanted to use my rewards points and didn't provide the free gift set that was supposed to come with my purchase. I asked her to use my points and for the gift set. She had lots of difficulty finding the gift set and once I got home and looked at my receipt I saw that she didn't apply my points. I do not recommend this store to anyone that doesn't know exactly what they are looking for. Unfriendly & not helpful staff, not enough staff and they may want to take some make-up classes and by attention to the specials that are available to customers. The DE Ulta has definitely set the bar and the Bel Air location is no where near it. P.S. I over heard another customer asking for help finding a product, who also had been looking for someone to help her, they were out of her product and the employee wasn't very pleasant.
