The Newberry Bakery located at the old location of the Bel Air Bakery is a super addition to the dining options in Bel Air! We eagerly anticipated the reopening of a real bakery in Bel Air and I am happy to say Newberry does not disappoint! The donuts are fresh and delicious. We also purchased a box of "day old" cinnamon rolls and they tasted fresh and delicious with just the right balance of richness and fluffiness in the pastry. Coffee and other drinks are also served. The ambience is friendly and welcoming. Affordable prices! I look forward to returning often to the Newberry Bakery!
The breakfast sandwiches are really good. Pastries are tasty. Good strong coffee.
Overall, we were pretty disappointed.
A wonderful experience. Sweet owner who likes to make you feel at home. Looks like a European cafe. Recipes are the same as the former bakery. Same baker. I don't know that much about coffee but it's pretty good. The best donut is the yeast rise cinnamon donut. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Just needs WIFI. I purchased a cinnamon roll, a cheese Danish, and a Newberry brand lemonade. I went at the end of the day so I figured I would warm the roll up a little before eating. Chewed it and got a mouth full of oil, and was not impressed by the taste. The Danish dough was soft, the sweet cheese was ok. You would expect more for the cost, the size/thinness was disappointing. And the lemonade didn't taste like fresh squeezed, more like a faint lemon taste like a Minute Maid.
I am so happy to have a place in town with fresh baked goods and food. Their donuts are excellent. I remember smiling because I was so happy to have fresh donuts.
It wasn't bad but I don't think I will be going back.
